Louise Foulds 1921 – 2013

June 12th, 2013 . by admin

The UU Church of Olinda has lost a dear friend and valued supporter with the passing of Louise Foulds on June 6, 2013. Louise had been a chaplain here, and her many contributions to our church were recognized by the naming of our “Louise Foulds Library.” She recorded important history in her book Universalists in Ontario, initially written as a Centennial Project of our church in 1980 and expanded and revised in a second edition in 2005 for our 125 Anniversary celebrations. The book highlights the central role of our church in this history. A copy of her obituary from the Windsor Star of June 10, 2013, can be found here:  FouldsObitWS20130610

A memorial service for Louise will be held at the UU Church of Olinda on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 1 PM.
