Sunday Service on Feb. 16, 2025, is on-line only!

February 7th, 2025 . by William Baylis

Join us on-line for our weekly Sunday Service, starting at 10:30 am and running for about an hour. Because of the storm warning (heavy snow, freezing rain), the church will be closed, but an on-line service will be held with chalice lighting, hymns, and joys and oncerns. Rev. Fiona Heath will continue the discussion started last week by Rev. Jim on the 8 principles, 6 sources, and 5 aspirations of Unitarian Universalism in Canada. The title of her sermon is Beacon of Light: The Aspiration of Theological Awareness.

Weather note: the latest weather report (6 pm Saturday) predicts heavy snow and freezing rain in the Kingsville area tomorrow, so enjoy the service from the warmth of your home!

Sunday Service on Feb. 16, 2025, is On-Line only!

October 29th, 2023 . by William Baylis

Because of the storm warning and prediction of heavy snow and freezing rain, our UU Church of Olinda will remain closed tomorrow. However, we will have a Zoom service starting at 10:30 am. Most members will have received the Zoom link. Please join us if you can for an interesting service and sermon by Rev. Fiona Heath: Beacon of Light: The Aspiration of Theological Awareness.

In addition to the usual announcememnts, joys and concerns, and hymn singing, you can learn more about the principles, sources, and aspirations that ground our faith and guide our development. (However, this time you will need to provide your own refreshments!)
